What is Ember?
WHAT IS EMBER?
Ember is a small-group program that seeks to build community and help parishioners grow in holiness.
In recent years, our church parish has been utilizing the adult Catholic program known as Christ Life. Initially, the Christ Life program attracted many people, but sadly, the program ran out of video content after only 21 meetings. Also, some people found the weekly, inflexible schedule burdensome. On the other hand, we found that people really enjoyed the small group fellowship.
WHY IS EMBER A GOOD FIT FOR OUR LADY OF LOURDES?
The great thing about Ember is that the program and its content is not limited. It has the potential to continue on much longer than 21 sessions of Christ Life. Another great thing is that the small group meetings are adaptable. Each small group can schedule breaks for vacation or school events. Also, unlike Christ Life, missing a session will not adversely affect a participant (by causing a gap in knowledge of recently introduced/reviewed content) when he/she returns for the next session. The biggest strength of Ember is its small group focus while also having opportunities for large group gatherings.
WHO IS ON THE ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM?

WHAT IS THE COST OF EMBER?
Ember is Free.
WHO CAN JOIN EMBER?
Any adult over 18 years of age.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL MONTH IN EMBER LOOK LIKE?
1st Week of Month: Ember NIGHT (Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.)
All small groups will gather in the Parish Hall to enjoy a great meal, hear an engaging speaker, and to share with their small group.
2nd Week of Month: Ember SMALL GROUP (any day)
On a flexible day and time chosen by the individual group, each Ember small group will meet in the home of one of their leaders to pray together, learn, and share.
3rd Week of Month: Ember SMALL GROUP (any day)
On a flexible day and time chosen by the individual group, each Ember small group will meet in the home of one of their leaders to pray together, learn, and share.
4th Week of Month: ADORATION NIGHT (Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.)
A Eucharistic Holy Hour will be offered in church accompanied by music and prayer. Confessions will also be heard during this time.
