A Peek into Our Church Parish

CONFESSIONS

Confessions are heard for thirty (30) minutes before each Mass.  Confessions are also heard while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for Adoration from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. Father Metrejean also hears Confessions and offers brief spiritual direction from 6:00 - 8:30 on Holy Wednesday (during Holy Week).

OTHER DEVOTIONS AND EVENTS

First Wednesday Adoration and Confessions:  4:00 - 6:30 p.m. (NOTE:  When sign-up sheets are available in the vestibule of the church, parishioners are encouraged to sign up after the weekend Masses to let Fr. Metrejean know that all half-hour increments are covered for Adoration.)

First Friday Adoration:  8:30 a.m. - 12:00 Noon (no First Friday Adoration during Lent)

First Saturday Mass:  9:00 a.m.

Holy Days of Obligation:  Please refer to our weekly bulletin or the Current Events page of this website.

Ash Wednesday Mass and Distribution of Ashes (2017):  Masses at Noon and 6:30 p.m.

Lourdes Eucharistic Procession:  Our 2017 Eucharistic Procession will be held after 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, February 11, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.  Father Metrejean and our local deacon(s) carry the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament through the streets of Erath as we pray, meditate, sing, and remember the Immaculate Conception's apparitions to Bernadette Sibirious in Lourdes, France.  (Please be assured that, although we will use Readings which are appropriate for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes rather than the Sunday Readings, the 4:00 p.m. Mass will fulfill your Sunday obligation.)

Saint Joseph Altar:  In the tradition of days past, and in a continuing spirit of gratitude to Saint Joseph, on March 19-20, our church parish will display a large table of assorted edible and decorative foods.  After sharing a meal with our parishioners and guests, and paying honor to Saint Joseph, we deliver food to a local food pantry.

Stations of the Cross:  6:00 p.m. on Fridays during Lent.

Fasting with Father (K.C. Fish Fry Meal):  6:30 p.m. on Fridays during Lent; dine in or take out; diners listen to a brief talk by Father Metrejean.
