Liturgical Ministries for Youth Mass
Father Metrejean invites teens to become more involved in the Liturgy of the Mass (and earn service points) by volunteering their service before/during the Mass. In the fall semester, teens sign up to serve on four Sundays (and earn liturgical service points) during the school year in any capacity listed below. A teen may opt to perform the same service on each of the four Sundays or he/she may choose different liturgical service each time. The list of liturgical service options follow:
- Greeters
- Altar Servers
- Commentator (Welcomes the Faithful Assembly before Mass begins and reads the Prayer of the Faithful during Mass)
- Lector for the First Reading
- Lector for the Second Reading
- Ushers
- Gift Bearers
- Bulletin Distributors
- Laptop/Projector Ministry to help Youth Choir
NOTE: Teens who will serve for the first time as a Commentator
and/or a Lector
may want to review this set of instructions
.
Teens who have not yet scheduled (or need to edit) their service dates should speak with Mrs. Yvanne before or after a Life Night (or Mrs. Frances at the Church Parish Office).
